Last week we had quarterly team meeting, And as usual I(we) was sitting ideally listing (trying to listen) to the clients.
A strange thought came in my mind. Since I stopped writting in Tamil almost 7 years ago , Why not to write Tamil Alphabets.I have been using transliteration softwares like quillpad etc., to type in Tamil. I Wrote Uir elluthu without any problem. I had good start in mei elluthu also, But after letter 'tha' I was struck. I forget the order. It took almost 15 mins for me to write it completely and correctly. I was totally ashamed of myself.
I thought lets try with others, I asked 5 of my friends to write the same, Out of the 5 only one guy wrote instantly without thinking. When compared to the other 4 I was better.

Food Coupons

Last July my weight was around 76 kilos, Today its 90+ kg. I Was totally shocked to see my weight.In 3 months I gained 15+ kilos. I'm sure that its becoz of my uncontrolled diet. When I was in Chennai,even though I get good food than here in Bangalore, my weight never crossed 80kg.
At last i found the reason why my diet gone Uncontrolled. The reason is food coupons. Since Food Coupons have tax relief, I got for the maximum possible amount.
The problems with the Food coupons are
1.They come in very standard denomination like75,50,20,10 and some times 5. Except for my office canteen no other eat outs will give balance. For example 2 idly's cost 8 Rs. If i give a 10rs coupon, the eat outs cashier will not give back 2rs.So i will get a vada for 7rs. So every time when i get idly,i go for vada. Logically for saving 2rs i spent another 5rs.
2.Since I'm not paying as cash in the eat outs, I spent more.

So I advice people to not to opt for food coupons

Movie Review - ATM

Story : Appadina enna?. Director sir, Vijay Double action, Shriya, Namitha mattum poothathu. Konjum storyum venum.

Vijay as usual danced and acted well. Shriya tried to act, all the best for her attempt.
I Don't understand why the director has opted for shayaji shinde (bharthiyar) for such a small and useless role. The same thing applies for Namitha too. Namitha comes for only 2 scenes and one song.
A.R.Rahman voice and music didn't suit vijay. Madurikku poogathadi and Ponmagal vandal are good. Vijay should either opt for Srikanth deva or Devi sri prasad for music. I believe they can give what vijays fan expects.
If you have some time to kill, you can watch this movie.

Diwali

I have been to my home town after a month for Diwali. This is Different Diwali for me,
Upto my Knowledge this is my first Diwali with out crackers, and I spent Less than 1 hr infront of TV. The only pgm that i watched during the days is Vijay TV's "Eppadi Thorkin Eppadi vellum".
This year I didn't buy crackers becoz of some rituals and customs, But form next year I will not buy crackers.
When I was a kid when i ask for crackers my father and grand father used to say Don't burn money (Kaasa Karriakkatha), Namma sambathikka arrambicha appuram than nammaku puriuthu.

When Supreme court of India has already given the Verdict that conducting Bandh is an anti national event, then how come Madras High Court didn't object the Bandh organized by the ruling party. What's happening in the TN Judiciary system.
I'm sure that the person(s) who have filed the case against the Bandh in Madras High Court would have surely referred the supreme courts verdict during their hearings, so the judges cannot deny that they don't know abt the supreme court judgment.
When such incident happens In a state where the literacy rate is higher than the national average, then how the ppls will have faith in Judiciary system.

Yesterday some Indian communist leader has said,collaborate with China for generating Power. I don't know what's wrong with Indian communist Party. Are they talking with sense?. If India does something like that, then that will be best example for "சொந்தத ேசலவில் சூனியம்"

Second Incident, Some Central govt agencies has said in the supreme court that there is no historical proof for the existence of Lord Ram or Ramsethu. I doubt at Census report claims that India has 80+ crore of people following Hindu religion

MTC goes hightech. MTC has accquired AC volvo buses to operate in chennai. In our college days we used to say some phrase, the same applies here.

MTC buses are to serve the middle class and Lower class people, Instead of Introducing new Volvo Buses, maintain the existing fleets properly. If all the buses are Utilized properly most of the problems will be solved.

The X factor

What satisfies man. Earlier i worked for a start up company. When I look at my friends who work for big companies I used to think that, when we join in such companies all our worries will be over and we can live happily.
Now I'm working for one of the India's biggest IT company. When I ask the same question Am I satisfied?, the answer is No. I'm working in a big project, have a big brand name. But still I miss some thing. I don't Know what I'm looking for. But some thing is driving me towards some thing.
It may sound crazy, but this is the fact. Do all the people have this problem?

Will Lotus Notes Survive

Ed Brill and Alalepofsky in their blogs continuously praise Lotus Notes 8 and created a impression on me that Lotus Notes is having a gr8 future.
But I believe in the real market condition is against Lotus Notes. One of World's biggest Financial institution with operation over 75 countries is migrating their applications to Share Point form Lotus Notes. I think this is a big blow for lotus notes. I think its the right time for me to change the technology or I need to have knowledge in some other technology so that i can survive.
I'm bit confused on what to learn.

Some Questions?

1. Few months back, some Hindu union stromed in a college ,they manhandled the professor & thrashed the student there,for alleged obscene paintings. Communist and DK peoples raised their voices against it.
When now Taslima Nasrin is attaked, Why they are keeping silent?

2. My second question, Why communist in West Bengal banned Taslima Nasrin's Book, when they say they are secular?

3.My Third Question, I believe that, Tamil literature society is more open and any one can write about any thing, but still why Taslima Nasrin's books are not translated in Tamil (When i searched in the net, I can find that her books are translated in many south Indian languages but not in Tamil)

4. The UP state govt plans to introduce reservation in pvt sector to. The reservation will be in 3 categories, SC/ST, OBC and Financially backward OC's.
Here is my Question, How the govt will find the Financially backward OC's and do they get a separate caste certificate?

5. Will Tata's TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) plant will come to Tuticorin or not?
