Ticket to Bangalore

My sister came from Banglore to chennai to attend a marriage reception on 28th Jan. She asked me to get return ticket to Bangalore some 10 days ago, as usual i forget that, she arrived in chennai on jan 26. When she asked me abt the return ticket, i realised that i didnt get the ticket. I searched for the whole day at last i got the ticket form an agent called "Abirami Travels" in beseant nagar. He said the regular bus is full and the seats are available only in spl bus. I agreed that and got the tickets for 480 bugs (almost double the rate), He informed that we need board at Oasis Travels at T Nagar. I was relieved.
Sunday nite i reached the travels office 9.30, The regular bus is scheduled to to leave at 9.45 pm and the special bus at 10.30pm. The regular bus arrived only at 10.15 and departed at 10.30. The travels person informed us that the bus will come only by 11.00 Pm, There were around 45-50 persons waiting for the bus, i started to feel something fishy about that. At last a 36 seater bus came at 11.30. To our surprise, the travel agent said only those who have got ticket form him can board into the bus. 34 People boarded in that bus. Remaining people where waiting out side the bus. I had a argument with travels agent and secured a seat for my sister. One more seat was left out. One more ladies passenger was accommodated in the bus. Around 10-12 peoples where waiting outside with out seat. The agent convinced 2 of them to sit in drivers cabin. For the rest of the passengers he arranged car. Around 10 passengers where carried by a Tavera. By 12.00 pm, the bus started to move , i moved to my house.
My sister reached Bangalore only by 8.30 am next day morning. When i asked her the reason, she said, the bus they where traveling took them only up to housur, from housur they arranged a connecting bus.
Its a big lesson, here after i will not get ticket in any spl bus by private operator.

Questions to Doctor Ramdoss sorry மருத்துவர் இராமதாசு

Before reading this i like to inform you that i don't belong to any political party.
I assume that "மருத்துவர் ஐயா" Refers to Dr.Ramadoss. If it is wrong, then the name
Ramadoss that i have used is to represent the persons who is responsible for that


Today morning i came across a vinyl banner at Adyar, it invites people to attend the meeting being conducted by "தமிழ்இன மானம் மீட்பு இயக்கம்". The meeting is headed by Dr.Ramadoss, who is the founder of this organization.
According to Dr. Ramadoss,For the following issues the organization will work
1. To Retain the lost Tamil Language
2. To Retain the lost Musical Tamil
3. To Retain the lost Tamil Homeland (!?)
4. To Retain the lost Tamil Feelings(!?)
5. To Retain the lost culture
6. To get Social justice(மறுக்கப்பட்ட சமுகநீதி) for Tamil which are currently blocked (!!!!!!!!!!?)

I dont know what Dr.Ramadoss is trying to do. I couldnt stop laughing after reading the point3, 4, and 6. I dont know what he is meaning there.
To Retain the lost homeland. Upto my knowledge there is a small dispute with karnataka and kerala regarding the 4 villages. Is he going to get back those villages?
To Retain the lost Tamil Feelings(இழந்த தமிழ் உணர்ைவ மீட்க): What he means by tamil feelings?
The most important thing To get Social justice(மருக்கப்பட்ட சமுகநீதி) for Tamil which are currently blocked. Ramadoss are you not ashamed to tell like this. Are tamilians are treated as second grade citizens in the country. Are tamilians are restricted from central govt jobs.
Do you think that people are such an idiot to belive your words. I think 1o central ministers are form tamil nadu (Iam not sure about the numbers) including Dr.Anbumani Ramadoss. Mr.Ramadoss, If you really think that tamils are not treated equally, then you can ask your son to resign form the central govt and lead a domonstration?.

Simply dont talk about tamil,Do some usefull work to improve tamil. Since Dr.Anbumani Ramadoss is the health minister of India, he can bring MS and MD in all Indian regional languages, why he is not doing that?

"You are trying to use the same weapon what Anna and Karunandi used in 60's, to catch the power".

Book Review Iraq- Saddam Plus Saddam Minus

Last week i got a chance to read the book Iraq- Saddam Plus Saddam Minus by P.Ragavan and published by Kizhakku Pathippagam, costs 100INR.
The first few chapters of the book are really good. It tells about the early life of the Saddam. , how he joined in a political party, how CIA helped him to reach the power. The rest of the book was mere collection of newspaper headlines. There is no clear explanation for many things.
On a scale of 5, my rating is 2.5. Any one who wants to have a brief introduction to the gulf politics can read this book.

I have a special relation to with the word Lemuria. After completing my Graduation, when i was looking for job, i came across a add in the Hindu Education Plus. A computer center called Lemuria who calls itself as the Expert in Mainframe and claimed that they have placed 65 students in Top IT Industry on the current month. Lured by their add, along with my 5 friends i visited their center. To my surprise the place was jam packed with students. The Counselor of center who spoke to us talked in such a manner that once if we join in their center surely we will get a job in top notch IT Company.
Then came the fees issue. He said, since we are joining as six members he will give us 5% discount in the course fees. We 6 paid the fees and started to attend the class in Mainframe. COBOL classes where bit boring. But for the rest of the things we had a wounder full classes. Even 2.5 years latter, i still remember JCL and CICS. The faculty name is Kumaraguru. After 2 months of training we completed the course. As soon as we completed the course immediately they took us for an interview( in the mean time 2 of my friends got placed in CTS and TCS). We had a great hope. But to the dismay none of the candidate from the center was shortlisted for the next round of interview. My HR person said that your performance was not good. We began to work hard. We spent almost 10 hours a day in the center. Almost a month gone, we( didnt get any other interview call, but still in the news paper they advertised that they placed 40 students in that month.
We got little confusion or to tell in otherwords we slowly started loose hope in the organization. 2 more months passed still we did not get any interview call, but still in the news paper they claimed that they have placed 50 students. It took us 4 months to understand that their claims are bogus.
Then there was big struggle to get a job. For quite some day i worked as Marketing executive for Hutch, then as Junior Engineer with an construction company for 3 months, then at last to my current company.

Moral: Never trust a person who says with out any hard work you can get the result!

Hard disk

Seven year ago when i was in my 12 th std, my computer teacher said in next 10 years you can find PC hard disk of capacity 50 gb. At that time 4gb hard drive was biggest in the town. His predictions have gone wrong. In the next 2 years we got hard disk of capacity 20 GB. Yesterday Hitachi announced its launching of 1 terabyte hard disk. The company announced that, in the first quarter of 2007 it will launch 1 TB hard disk for PC, subsequently in the second quarter for digital video recorders. Hitachi has priced the 1 TB disk around 400 us$, making 1 GB= 40 cents.
Its obvious that with in a month of its release, iam sure that seagate will release its version.( Seagate also sells a home storage device with two 500GB drives to make up 1 terabyte.)

The hard drive turned 50 last year, and over the past five decades data capacity has increased at a fairly regular and rapid pace. The first drive, which came with the RAMAC computer, weighed about a ton and held 5MB of data.
Soon we can have hand help media player with 100 gb capacity in an affordable price

Adieu to 8890

At last after 51/2 years my Phone, Nokia 8890 got rest.


I know this is a quiet long time to have a same mobile phone. But, still i had this phone. Its really an amazing phone, i had dropped it twice into swimming pool, once into mud during rainy season. Still it worked( with out doing any service). These factors made me to buy another Phone form Nokia.
This time i got N72.

Its really an amazing phone with several cool features.The music player is really good. But the downside is a fully charged phone can play music only for 4 hrs.
