Already there are several movies which tell about the father son relationship. Gautham menon tried the same subject with his screen play. I feel the movie is bit boring. Music is too good. Suriya’s acting is excellent. If you have lot of time to kill you can watch this movie. ***********************************************************************
Last Sunday, I saw a Varanam Aiyram promotion program in Vijay TV. Anchor Gopinath asked some questions to VA crew. I was surprised to see Azagiri’s son in the dais along with Suriya and Gautam menon. I believe aascar film’s Ravichandran is the producer and Azagiri’s son is just the distributor of this movie. How come he was in the stage?

Movie Review : DURAI
A small comparison between the Movie Durai (2008) and Gladiator (2000).
Gladiator : Maximus (Russell Crowe) is an army general and true servant of the king Marcus Arelius
Durai : Durai (Arjun) is a true servant/follower of a political leader
Gladiator : Dying Marcus Arelius, appoints Maximus as the temprory king of the Rome and eventually to return the power to the Roman senate.
Durai :The political leader want to appoint Arjun as the next chief of his party.
Gladiator : Marcus's son kills his father and ascends to the throne. He tries to execute Maximus and his family. Maximus escapes the execution attempt and race to his house, where he finds both his wife and child were hanged to death.
Durai: The politcal leaders son kills his father and tries to kill Durai. Durai escapes but his wife and child were hanged to death.
Gladiator : Injured Maximus was found by a salve trader and he was sold to a gladiator training school.
Durai: Injured Durai was affected by selective amnesia and he forgets his past. He joins as waiter/supplier in a mess/catering company.
Galdiator: Maximus was taken Rome to fight in the Arena in front of the King (Marcus Arelius Son). When the King finds Maximus he tries to kill him. The Kings sister (Marcus daughter) helps Maximus. Maximus kills the king and he too dies. The power was transferred to the senate as expected by Marcus Arelius.
Durai : Villan (political party leader's son) finds Durai and tries to kill him. As expected Durai get back his memory. He comes to Chennai to find who killed his leader. Villan's sister(politcal party leader's daughter) helps Durai. Atlast Durai find the killer and takes his revenge. He then settle with the other heroine (Keerat) and hand over the party leadership to some one else.
Music was tooo poor. The Remix song (Raja Rajathi Rajan intha Raja) was toooo horrible. This movie should have been named as Galdiatior Ver 2.0.

A Small Comparison -Part I
Work Culture: In my current company, Except for one or two people, rest of the team leaves the office exactly at the scheduled logout time. Whereas at my previous company only one or two leaves at the scheduled logout time. The relationship with my manager is more professional/formal in my current organization. In my previous organization its more informal and bit personal. Even after quiting my previous company I still have contact with my managers.
Linguistic Split: At the time of leaving my previous organization, of the 25+ people only 2 were non Tamilians. In my current team Telugu speaking people forms the major part of the team followed by Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. People from groups based on the language they speak. The entire team looks bit polarized :(. Each group is further divided into sub groups.
If a team has 10 Telugu speaking people there will be a maximum of 3 groups, if a team has 10 Mallus, all the 10 will be of the same group. If a team has 10 Tamilians then there can be more than8 groups :). Tamil people lacks unity among them. People fight like kids in the team. I have never seen these kind of split in my previous company. It was only top management versus others :).

A postmortem.
Today at my office we had small session with the HR peoples.And as usual this session too had some games. I was made as a captain for one team. The game and its rules were very simple. But still we lost all 3 the game. After the session, I just did a postmortem of the entire game that we played. Here are the mistakes that I/We did
1. At first game we didn't have any game plan/Strategy. Every team member was in offensive mode. If a strike is successful then we will get maximum points, but the probability of getting a successful strike is very less. Few made good score, many missed (including me).
2. In the second game, we were given a target and asked to achieve it. Now we started to feel the pressure. But still most of the team members played offensively. The members who had good score in the first game failed to get same or a greater score in the second game. They had over confidence over their skills. When I asked them to play defensively they were not ready to hear my words. We were not even able to complete the game :(.
3. Even in the third game we were give a target and asked to achieve it. The pressure was immense. We were a team of 13, each one has to score at least 12 points to get the achieve the target. Now I made the entire team to play defensively. But still the people had over confidence over their skills. Most of the team members didn't follow the strategy that we devised. And even in this game too we lost.
The main problem that we had was we didn't bother about winning the game. We are not going to lose any thing if we lost this game. This was our/my mindset. Second thing was, most of my team members were senior to me. I couldn't force them to obey my words. Or to tell in other words I couldn't get the work done from the team :(.
The lesson that I learnt from this game is when we take the leadership role and start a new project
1. Have a plan/strategy.
2. Make sure that the entire team follows your word.
3. Have the determination to win

Problem after installing SP3 for Excel 2003.
After installing SP3 for Excel 2003, I'm not able to open Lotus 1-2-3 files. When I try to open/save a .wk3 or .wk4 file we get the following error.
"You are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting".
When I googled for the above problem, I landed in Microsoft site. The below extract is from Microsoft site.

A small Comparison
I started to work in IT industry almost 3 years and 2 months ago. At first I worked for a start up and now working for India's biggest IT company. 14 months back when I joined in my current organization except for Lotus Notes every thing else looked different. The way in which I/we worked/ how things happened in the previous organization was totally different from how it is happening here.
My first surprise was the head count. In my previous organization the biggest team size was 4. And most of the time I worked as one man army. The total organization strength was around 25. When I came here, I was surprised to see a team of 40 programmers. I never expected a Lotus notes team of 40 developers. Further around 1500+ developers/testers/support personals are also seated in the same campus.
Dress code: While working in previous organization, I never follow the dress code. During weekday I wore Jeans pant, I will not tuck in my shirt , Never wear shoes to the office. Few of my friends were also in the same league. Even the management did not mind it. For them the work has to be done. Or I think its the freedom that I/we had there. Here, every thing is in reverse. Even on weekend I see people coming in formals. During weekday I'm following or try to follow the dress code. When I don't follow, I look odd in the team.
Process:

In my previous organization the only process that I followed regularly was filling Time sheet :). In projects that I worked, I had access to production environment. When ever the user asks for changes/enhancements, at times directly I had worked on the production database. At times we worked based on customer oral request too. I the beginning we didn't track the changes that we made. Latter we had some thing called Change request and Release notes (Word document) to track the changes. From the management perspective to have CR and RN as word document might be use full but from the developer point of view its not use full. In one of the project that I worked, after the main release we had more than 25 CRs. I'm the only person who have fairly good (Complete) knowledge of the application (Since I designed the application). When we started to get more and more CR, I couldn't remember what I did in each module. No module have proper documentation.
In my current project, ever request is properly tracked and stored. Every release has its corresponding documentation. Further all the CR's are tacked in notes application, which make them more searchable. We don't have designer access to UAT and production server. Only for the development server we have designer access. For every deployment we need to have 2 approval from management team and admin team will do the deployment. The documentation work may be painstaking, but it protect us.
Technology: I would say any one who starts his/her career with a start up organization is lucky. He/she can learn a lot in start ups. At times we worked for more than 18 hours a day. In 2 years of time we learned a lot. I feel in big organization at the entry level we cannot learn as we learn in a start up.
Soft skills : Any one who starts his career with Big companies can develop their soft skills very quickly. In my current assignment, I need to interact with the my client on daily basis. Either through instant messenger or phone calls. Where as in my previous organization only my manger used to have daily interaction with the customer and I interact with him the customer very rarely.

Vikatan Survey Results -"நிச்சயம் தமிழீழம் வேண்டும்! பிரபாகரன் கைதாக வேண்டும்!"
Vikatan has published its survey results. I haven't actually read it in their site. I just got a mail with the survey results. I'm not sure about the genuineness of the mail. I just pasting the contents from the mail below.

விடுதலைப் புலிகள், ராஜீவ் படுகொலை வழக்கு, கச்சத்தீவு, இலங்கை
பிரச்னையில் இந்திய அரசின் அணுகுமுறை ஆகிய அனைத்துக் கோணங்களிலும் 12 கேள்விகளுடன் விரிவானதொரு சர்வே நடத்தியது ஆனந்த விகடன் டீம்.
இணையதளத்தில் 2,130 பேர், சர்வே டீம் நேரடி விசிட்டில் தமிழகம் முழுவதும்
பதில் அளித்தவர்கள் 2,065 பேர். ஆக, மொத்தம் 4,195 பேர் ஆண்கள்-பெண்கள்,
நகர்ப்புறம்-கிராமப்புறம் என்று பலதரப்பட்டவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்ட இந்த
சர்வேயின் பிரமிப்பூட்டும் முடிவுகளை இங்கே தருகிறோம்.
'ஈழத் தமிழர் விவகாரத்தில் இங்கே நிலவும் மனநிலை இதுதான்!' என்று
அடித்துச் சொல்லும் சர்வே முடிவுகள் இவை!
ஜூலை 25, 1983..! இலங்கையில் இனவெறிக்கான வெறுப்பு விதை அழுத்தமாக
விழுந்த நாள். சிங்கள ராணுவம் முதல்முறையாக ஈழத் தமிழ்ப் பகுதிகளில்வெறி பிடித்து வேட்டையாடி, அப்பாவித் தமிழர் பிணங்களை அடுக்கிய நாள். தனித் தமிழீழப் போராட்டத்துக்கு உணர்ச்சி நெருப்பேற்றிய அந்தக் கறுப்பு ஜூலை முடிந்து 25 வருடங்களாகின்றன!
அரை நூற்றாண்டு காலமாக யுத்தத்தின் ரத்தத்தில் நனைகிறது ஈழ மண். நிலம், குடும்பம், உயிர், உடைமை என எல்லாவற்றையும் இழந்து துயரத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாக வாழ்கிறார்கள் ஈழத் தமிழர்கள். ஈழ விடுதலைக்காக, இலங்கை அரசுக்கு எதிராக எத்தனையோ இயக்கங்கள் எழுந்து விழுந்துவிட்டன. ஓயாத அலைகளாக இன்று வரை உலக அரங்கத்தில் உறுமிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிற ஒரே அமைப்பு, 'தமிழீழ விடுதலைப்புலிகள்'!
சர்வதேசத் தீவிரவாத அமைப்புகளின் பட்டியலில் ஒன்றாக இருந்தாலும், உலகில் வேறு எந்த இயக்கத்துக்கும் இல்லாத கண்ணிய மரியாதை விடுதலைப்புலிகளுக்கு உண்டு. உலக நாடுகளின் துணையோடு எதிர்க்கிற இலங்கை ராணுவத்துக்கு, புலிகள் ஒவ்வொரு கணமும் சிம்ம சொப்பனம்தான்!

விடுதலைப் புலிகள், ராஜீவ் படுகொலை வழக்கு, கச்சத்தீவு, இலங்கை

கலந்துகொள்வதை அடுத்து தற்காலிகப் போர் நிறுத்தம் அறிவித்திருக்கிறார்கள் புலிகள். இந்த நேரத்தில் எல்லோருக்குள்ளும் எழுகிற கேள்விகள்... இலங்கைதமிழர் பிரச்னை யில் இந்திய அரசின் நிலைப்பாடு சரிதானா? புலிகளின் போராட்டத்துக்குத் தமிழர்களிடையே ஆதரவு இருக்கிறதா..? தமிழ் ஈழம் அவசியமா? ராஜீவ் காந்தி கொலை வழக்கில் பிரபாகரனுக்குத் தண்டனை கொடுக்க வேண்டுமா?

இடங்களில் பின்வாங்கினாலும் புலிகள் தங்கள் இலக்கை நோக்கி
முன்னேறிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள். உலக நாடுகளிடமிருந்து ஆயுத உதவி பெறும் சிங்கள ராணுவத்திடம் பறித்தெடுத்த ஆயுதங்களைக்கொண்டே இத்தனை காலமும் வளமான போராட்டம் நடத்தி வருகிறார்கள் புலிகள்!'' என்கிறார்.

''இதுவரை பாகிஸ்தான் உள்பட அசாதாரணச் சூழ்நிலை நிலவும் பல அண்டை
நாடுகளில் எல்லாம் சார்க் மாநாடுகள் நடந்திருக்கின்றன. அப்போதெல்லாம்
மூன்று கப்பல்களில் ஆயுதங்களும் 3 ஆயிரம் போர் வீரர்களும் பிரதமரின்
பாதுகாப்புக்கு என்று போனதில்லை. இப்போதுதான் இந்த வேடிக்கை நடக்கிறது.
இலங்கையைத் திருப்திப்படுத்தும் வேலையை மட்டுமே செய்து வருகிறது இந்திய அரசு. இலங்கையின் தேயிலைத் தோட்டங்களில் வேலை பார்த்த பல லட்சம் இந்தியத் தமிழர்களை ஒன்றுமில்லாத பிச்சைக்காரர்களாகத் திரும்பப் பெற்றது, கச்சத்தீவை விட்டுக்கொடுத்தது, அதன் பலனாக இன்றும் தமிழக மீனவர்களைப் பலி கொடுப்பது வரை இது தொடர்கிறது.
இந்தியாவின் பாதுகாப்புக்குப் பங்கம் விளைவிக்கும் நாடுகளுடன் இலங்கை
உறவு வைத்துக்கொள்ளாது என்று நினைக்கிறது இந்திய அரசு. ஆனால்,
பாகிஸ்-தான் விமானிகள்தான் சிங்களப் போர் விமானங்களை இயக்கிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள். அமெரிக்காவும் தன் ராணுவ தளத்தை இலங்கையில் அமைப்பதற்கு நேரம் பார்த்துவிட்டது. இதெல்லாம் தெரிந்தும் நம் டெல்லி அறிவுஜீவிகள் இப்படி இருக்கிறார்கள்!'' என்று காட்டமாகிறார் பழ.நெடுமாறன்.
இந்தச் சூழ்நிலையில் விடுதலைப்புலிகளின் அடுத்த கட்ட நடவடிக்கை என்னவாக இருக்கும்? எத்தனை விமர்சனங்கள் இருந்தாலும் இயக்கத்தைக் கட்டுக் கோப்போடு முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வதில் தீவிரமாக இருக்கிறார் பிரபாகரன் என்பதுதான் அரசியல் நோக்கர்களின் கருத்து. ''பிரபாகரனின் சிந்தனைதான் விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் சிந்தனை. கட்டுக்கோப்புடனும் தலைமைக்கு விசுவாசமாகவும் இருக்கும் விடுதலை இயக்கத்துக்குச் சிறந்த உதாரணமாக இருக்கிறது புலிகள் அமைப்பு.

நல்ல காலம் பொறக்குது.. நல்ல காலம் பொறக்குது.. தமிழ் நாட்டுல பா.ம.கவும், மத்தியில கமியுனிஸ்ட்டும் ஆளும் கூட்டனியிலிருந்து வெளியேரிட்டதுனால இனிமே நல்ல காலம் பொறக்குது.. நல்ல காலம் பொறக்குது..
At last the upa govt won the trust vote (?). We can expect some of the following things to happen in the near future.
1. Mayawathi will be arrested or will be brought in a fairly complex case from which she cannot escape easily.
2. Point 1 is applicable for Prakash Karat also
2.1 CPI might split in to two faction
3. Mukesh Ambani will have some trouble with the central govt
4.India's tie with Iran will strain further.
5. Dayanthi Maran will be ousted from DMK.

Where is the 40 gm.
It seems that day by day where ever I go problem follows me.
Yesterday I went to Safal to buy wheat bread.I took a one packet (Brand Daily bread, batchno: 110708). In the bread packet its mentioned that the weight as 400gm and cost 25. At the billing counter I accidentally placed the bread packet over the weight machine. It showed only 360 gms. I was shocked to see that. When i asked the counter sales boy about the weight difference I did not get any proper response. He said we are not packing it and we get as packed. In the bread packet they have given some 4 to 5 numbers as customer care number. When I called that number they are
not picking it up.
I know that breads normally comes up in standard size and weight doesn't matter. The labels are pre printed. What really worries me is the expiry date in the label. How can we trust the expiry date printed in the label?.

Even after all these stuffs, still only getting a rating 3 out of 5. I'm really pissed of on seeing my rating. When I talked to my manager regarding this, he said you have did all the assigned work perfectly, but I want more from you. He explained me the whole thing from his perspective. Still I couldn't digest my rating.
I think its the high time for me to move out from this company.

2 Movies
Last weekend I had the chance to watch 2 movies. Dasavatharam and Forbidden Kingdom.
Dasavatharam. I have no words to say about this movie. I'm not a big fan of Kamal, But I like his few movies, to name few, Salaingai Oli, Anbe Sivam, Kurudip Punal. And now Dasavathram is in that list. Off all the characters Nambi, the veera was mind blowing. Next best character is Kalifulla. Even though the makeup is not proper for this character, Kamal's body language and voice modulation is superb. Next the Japaneese karate expert and our villain Christan Fletcher.
During Alavandhan's climax fight, I felt both the Kamal had the same body language. But in Dasavatharam When Chris Fletcher fights with Govind and the Karate master, all the three had different styles and body language. We cant say that its just 3 Kamal were fighting. Avatar sing remembered me Valve Mayam Kamal.
Aha, the other important role that I missed to tell is Vincent Povaragan. Speaking Nagarkovil/Tirunelveli Tamil with super body language. No one can easily figure out him in that makeup.
I feel the movie is tooooooooo long. Esp the chasing sequence in India.
Problem with Kamal Movies.
When Kamal writes the script, surely all the audience cannot understand it. At times he goes with some high fundas which a common man cannot understand. Some time the entire movie will be like that. Example Anbe Sivam and Mumbai Express. Both the movies failed in the box office. But I have to thank him for not making such a mistake in this movie. He starts with chaos theory and butterfly effect. If someone who couldn't understand the explanation what kamal provides for chaos theory , then they cannot feel he/she is fully satisfied with the movie.
Another example is "NaCl". From the starting they will show only NaCl can stop the virus. I can remember NaCl stands for Sodium Chloride, But only at the end of the movie, I remembered NaCl is the technical name for Common Salt. If they had just said it as common salt a common man can easily understand it.
Forbidden Kingdom:
2 Action Legends in one movie. Jacki Chan and Jet li. This movie is fully loaded with action.
A good entertainer. Simple story with good actions.
You can watch this movie if you have some free time.

Last weekend I watched this movie at Innovative Multiplex. A cold war era story. Of course the Russians are the villains. Graphics and action sequence are good. The screenplay was too simple; I can guess most of the scenes.

IPL - Not about Cricket
IPL, Indian Premier League. Already several good cricketers and fans have written many thing about IPL T20. I'm not talking about Cricket, but about the money that is involved in it. Starting from Day1, IPL has created big buzz. The amount of Money that is Involved, International players etc.
IPL season 1 winner is king Khan. Can you believe it? In the last issue of Business Today, I came across a interesting article about the money involved in it. Just sharing those details with you. Jokes apart, I'm not against any caste or religion. Its not the caste that determines the first mark, but the hard work that the student puts. I'm sure that Dr.Ramadoss knows this. I'm too using Rajinikanths word "People are equal to God. They cannot be fooled and will not remain silent if you continue to act in such manner" (Thalivar said this during hogenakkal fasting).

A Suicide Attempt
If actor Vijay lists the worst movies that he has ever acted, then Kurvi will surely be in the top 3(severe competition for 1st position) . This movie is only for Vijay fans form whom story doesn't matter. I wonder how censor board has permitted most of the comedy scenes. No double meaning, direct voulger meaning.
No Story. No Logic. Initially I thought Kuruvi is a native Tamil movie, but the screenplay (action sequence ) of the second half of Kuruvi is a full copy from the Telugu movie Chatrapathi (Staring Prabhas and Shriya Saran). Since I don't know Telugu, I couldn't understand the story of that movie. But I guess the story is also the same. I watched this movie only because of the directors ability to give a fast screenplay. But I didn't expect this copy screenplay form the director Dharani.

Heroine has no role/scope in this movie. Trisha simply dance in songs and at times she runs with vijay (made me to remember gilli). And Trisha looks bit old in this movie. Manivannan, Sarnaya and Nasar has no acting scope in this movie. In Kuruvi, Vijay kills more than dozens of his opponents (Including a MLA), ransack a police station but he is not punished for that.
Watching this movie is equal to a suicide attempt. Watch this movie at your own risk.

Heroine has no role/scope in this movie. Trisha simply dance in songs and at times she runs with vijay (made me to remember gilli). And Trisha looks bit old in this movie. Manivannan, Sarnaya and Nasar has no acting scope in this movie. In Kuruvi, Vijay kills more than dozens of his opponents (Including a MLA), ransack a police station but he is not punished for that.
Watching this movie is equal to a suicide attempt. Watch this movie at your own risk.

Browsing in iWay.
In all the iWays that I browse I face some common problem(other than the pop-up ads).
1. After signing into Gmail, I need to manually refresh to get the content loaded.
2. Most of the Tamil fonts are not supported.
3. When I log in into Orkut, the content doesn't load immediately like Gmail I need to manually refresh and when hit the back button I get the following error most of the time.

Jayakanthan Stories
From my childhood, I have access to Tamil weekly journals like Kalki, kumudam and Antha vikitan and Kanaiyazhi. Except for Kanaiyazhi, I used to read the other weeklies. The reason is its difficult to understand or I didn't had the maturity to understand the contents. I just look at its cover and keep it back at my fathers table. I have read several short and long stories in the other weeklies from my child hood. One thing that I feel is, all those stories follows some common patten.
Some days back when I was searching for PonniyenSelven's electronic version, I came across Jayakanthan's short stories collection in Project Madurai site along with several other literary works. After Kalki Krishnamorrthy, Bharathiyar and Bharathidasan the only name that was familiar to me in the list was Jayakanthan. I was just in mood to read the first story in the collection. When I read the first story in the collection, I was very much impressed by his writing and I read all the stories in the collections. Even though I don't have great exposure to recent Tamil literature, I feel that his stories are really different from what I read in the weeklies. I feel the way in which he expressed the human emotions/feelings is superb. If you have some free time then just try his stories.

Inflation
Its now my turn to talk abt inflation. In Bangalore Neither my office canteen nor the hotels that I eat haven't increased the price in the last 9-10 months, so I didn't have any big idea on the price rise. But last weekend I was in Chennai and I was totally shocked to see the price rise. When we are in Chennai, we used to eat in a small hotel, the food is of good quality and of reasonable price. When I was there last saturday,I saw a strange poster at the entrance of the hotel, justifying the price hike.
After reading this I was bit shocked. I have to thank the hotel owner for not increasing the price too much.
Also we went to Vasantha Bhavan namma vedu (vadpalani). We are charged 106 INR for 2 podi dosa , 2 coffee and 1 set curd vadai. I never expected this amount for what we ate. Govt must do some thing to control this .

Thanks to...........
In Karnataka,Ever time when there is problem between TN and Karnataka, Tamil Cable Channels and Tamil Movies will become the first victim. 2 days back some organization has called for blocking of all the Tamil channels and movies in Karanataka. But this time they could only block the movies and not the cable channel. The cable operators haven't agreed to block Tamil Channels. I don't think that the cable operators acted towards the nations interest, but its only on behalf of their own interest.
Of the entire Bangalore population, I assume 15-20% are Tamil speaking people. In the past, Cable operators are the only source for the satelite TV, the channels that we view are at their mercy. If they block a channel, we have to wait until the operator brings back the channel. But now we have got DTH. Already DTH is gaining good ground in the country. If the cable operators have blocked Tamil Channels, then most of the Tamil speaking people would have moved to DTH. If we Consider the total Population of Bangalore is around 1C, then at least 10-20L are Tamil speaking people. Even if 50% of them move to DTH, then this will have a huge impact on Cable TV Operators. So all the Tamil Speaking people here should thank DTH.
The lesson that I learnt from this is, in business forget all your sentiments.

LotusSphere 2008
Several big heads have already written/discussed a lot about Lotussphere 2008. Since I work on Lotus Notes, I think I too can write some thing about it. Since I'm just a developer(others call me like that), I will write some thing that is directly related to the developers
1. Future of Lotus Notes:
"During the Lotusphere 2008 closing session, Lotus VP Marjorie Tenzer announced that Lotusphere will be right back here next January....and the January after that, and the January after that, and so on, and so on, with a contract through 2015." Got this details from Edbrils blog
Based on the VP's remark, I assume IBM will continue to support/enhance Lotus products for another 7 Years. So as a developer, I no need to worry about my career for at least next 7 years.
2. Project Atlantic:
IBM and SAP are in the process of developing a tool which can connect SAP and Lotus Notes. Imagine, if you can access the ERP data from SAP server on your email client, how cool the system would be. If such a tool hits the market, I'm sure that the demand for Lotus Notes developer would be high.

உடையார் was not as interesting as I expected. The story revolves around buliding of Brgadeeswarar Temple, 20 years after the பொன்னியின் செல்வன் period.
Most(I believe all) of the பொன்னியின் செல்வன் readers have one question. Who killed ஆதித்த கரிகாலன்?. I believed, it would be either Nandhini or Ravidasan&Co. In this book, the Balakumaran claims that it was Ravidasan & Co responsible for that murder, with the help of black magic. But it doesn't over there. செம்பியன் மாதேவி has also took part in the conspiracy !. 16 years after the murder அருள் மொழி வர்மன் come back into power and find who are the culprits(Ravidasn & Co ) and punish them. Those 16 years are ruled by மதுரந்தகன் and during those period Ravidasn & Co lead a Royal life in chola kingdom. I believe you can feel some big hole in the story here.
பொன்னியின் செல்வன் hero வல்லவராயன் வந்தியத்தேவ்ன் was introducted only in the second volume. He is married to குந்தவை and works as a ordinary govt servant in Chola kingdom. After reading about வந்தியத்தேவ்ன் my total interest to the novel has gone. I thought he would be at least a General in the army.
Long time back I read another balakumaran's novel called "முதல் யுத்தம்". I don't remember the hero of the story, I think he is a genral/lt in அருள் மொழி's army. The story revolves around destroying the "கந்தலுர் சாலை" an army training school in chera kingdom. According to முதல் யுத்தம், அருள் மொழி was young prince who lead the army. But in உடையார், after becoming the king of Chola kingdom he lead this campaign against கந்தலுர் சாலை and destroy it. (I read the novel முதல் யுத்தம் very very long time back and I have not completed Udiyar. I think what I have written in the above para is correct, but still I need to get that book and need to confirm it)

M.R.ராதயணம்
M.R.Radha was just an another actor who played comic villain role in old movies. This was what I know about M.R.Radha till Jan 5th 2008.
Yesterday I got this book(M.R.ராதயணம்).

"வாய்ய நீலகண்டா! ராமச்சந்திரனை(M.G.R) சுட்டேன், அவனும் சாகல. என்னை சுட்டுக்கிட்டேன் நானும் சாகல. என்னையா துப்பக்கி கண்டுபிடிக்கிரானுங்க?. இந்த துப்பக்கிய வைச்ச்சுகிடா சைனாக்கரனை ஓட்டப்போறங்க?"
This is text in the cover page of the book. After reading this without any second thought I bought this book. The book is worth for every paise that you pay. Like the above there are several paragraphs in the book which makes us to laugh and Think . From this book I understood that Congress was BJP of 60's and why Anna quit DK and formed DMK. Most of his Drama's are with Atheist content, The congress tried to ban his stage drama's by creating/updating a new law.

1. The film with maximum number of Punch Dialogue is "ரத்தக்கண்ணிர்"
2. M.R.Radha is the only person who can sit equally with M.G.R in the studio during shooting
3. M.R.Radha is die-hard supporter of DK and not a Member of DK.
4. In his stage drama's he only uses different screens(curtains) to show different locations.
