Anton Balasingham, the man who led the LTTE into negotiations with the Sri Lankan government in September 2002, passed away in London on Thursday.
The 68-year-old was a moderate within the LTTE and had been suffering from bile duct cancer. Few articles that i read in the news paper was really hurting me. In chennai, the maximum price of an egg is Rs 2.50(INR) where as in Jaffanna is RS 150(SR). Around 2lak people are suffering with out proper food and medicine, still both the parties are not bothered about the suffering people.
Almost 23 years the war is going on, still no end, i couldn't see any settlement in the near feature. My suggestion is why there cant be autonomous Tamil speaking state with in srilanka some thing just like Quebec in Canada.
One more fact: Raja Raja cholan, the emperor who ruled Tamil Nadu around 980AD to 1000AD defeated the srilankan king. The fact to be noted here is the srilankan king name is Mahindan and the emblem of the cholas is tiger :) Its History.
