Will Lotus Notes Survive

Ed Brill and Alalepofsky in their blogs continuously praise Lotus Notes 8 and created a impression on me that Lotus Notes is having a gr8 future.
But I believe in the real market condition is against Lotus Notes. One of World's biggest Financial institution with operation over 75 countries is migrating their applications to Share Point form Lotus Notes. I think this is a big blow for lotus notes. I think its the right time for me to change the technology or I need to have knowledge in some other technology so that i can survive.
I'm bit confused on what to learn.

Don't be bit confused, the new technology is coming every month and i don't think there is worry on lotus as you realizing any way prevention is better than cure. So better go for .NET or J2EE.

well i would say it is always good to learn new technologies. I am not ready to accept that Lotus Notes Market condition is bad. And with the new releases and the improvements they are making it is and will get new customers. Some may choose to move out of LN (enterprises), at the same time some new enterprise will come. So LN will continue to exist for long time. But having said that, its not good to be an expert in just one small area. In LN itself there are quite a lot of things that you can learn. So keep upgrading urself.
